APPROVAL OF SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT FOR DRAINAGE EASEMENTS
Description
Sarasota County Government is undertaking the North Sarasota Neighborhood Enhancement project, including sidewalk, roadway, and drainage improvements. This agreement authorizes three drainage easements along Colson Avenue, adjacent to Emma E. Booker Elementary School, granted by the School Board to the County for the negotiated sum of $13,043.00. This price has been determined by a November 2008 appraisal. As the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board has a lease on this parcel for its neighborhood clinic operations, the agreement includes a Joinder and Consent by the Hospital Board. Approval of this agreement will improve the drainage in this area and will not negatively affect campus or clinic operations.
Recommendation
That the School Board of Sarasota County approve the settlement agreement granting the drainage easements to Sarasota County.
